Brief impairment or loss of vision in the morning can be a warning sign of a stroke.
Harvard Health experts reported this.
According to doctors, citizens who suffered strokes reported seeing black dots and shadows before the illness. Patients claimed that they could not see in one eye immediately after waking up.
“The optic nerve transmits signals to the brain and carries millions of nerve fibers and vessels. When completely cut off from the flow of nutrients and oxygen, nerve tissue is damaged, which can lead to loss of vision,” the doctors explained.
However, doctors have assured that in 80% of cases, vision is fully restored. However, they have reminded that this condition is dangerous and requires treatment.
