Kyrgyzstan is considering purchasing oil not only from Russia, but also from other sources.
Army.Az reports, citing TASS, that this was stated by the country’s Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev.
“Alternative options are being considered,” Kulubayev said in response to a relevant question during a meeting of the International Relations Committee in parliament.
He noted that Kyrgyzstan may have options to purchase oil from Iran or Azerbaijan, but Russia still continues to supply oil to this country at preferential rates. At the same time, the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister emphasized that the purchase of oil products from other countries will be possible only after the construction of the “China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan” railway is completed.
