The world is facing increasingly complex global challenges. Both the natural environment and political and economic structures are under threat. International strategists and experts are making various predictions about how these threats will shape the future. Some of these predictions more clearly show the risks that humanity will face, while others emphasize the uncertainty of future possibilities. However, there is a common theme in all of these predictions: the future world will be very different from today, and these changes will directly affect us all.
Army.az reports, citing Hurriyet, that 357 international strategists and experts participating in the “Global Forecast” survey conducted by the Atlantic Council assessed the global threats that will face us by 2035. Most of them predicted that a major war or nuclear war will break out in the world. According to the survey results, one of the most likely threats is the outbreak of World War III. 47% of the survey participants predicted that powers such as China, Russia, Iran and North Korea would form a new alliance. This alliance could further complicate future global conflicts. Moreover, strategies are expected to lead to serious changes among major powers in the future. 62% of the survey participants believe that the world will be in a worse state than the current situation by 2035. In particular, climate change poses a serious threat to global security and the economy. 29.9% believe that climate change will be the biggest threat in the future.
The impact of artificial intelligence and automation technologies on the workforce is also a concern for experts. Many believe that these technologies will have a positive impact on global issues, but there are also concerns that these changes will reduce the workforce. Among the greatest threats in the future are nuclear war, global climate change and new pandemics. However, experts believe that climate change in particular will be a more significant threat. In 2035, the world could face a very different order. These changes will bring new challenges to humanity, but it is not yet possible to determine how inevitable these challenges are.
