China has developed new spy technology that can capture images with millimeter accuracy from 100 kilometers away.
Army.az reports, citing foreign media, that a new optical imaging technology developed by the Institute of Space Information Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences could change global observation standards. This technology provides millimeter-level imaging accuracy even from a distance of 100 kilometers.
The new laser imaging system has image quality 100 times higher than existing lens-based spy cameras, allowing the Chinese government to track foreign military satellites and ground defenses in unprecedented detail.
The system was tested over Lake Qinghai in China. During the test, conducted from a distance of 101.8 kilometers, the device was able to show objects on the other side of the lake with a detail of just 1.7 millimeters.
Experts say this technology will create revolutionary opportunities in both military and strategic surveillance.
